[The final memory is broken and disjointed. Pain. So much pain that his earlier agony was a scrapped knee in comparison. He should be dead, he wanted to be dead. To be with his mother and father again, so not feel this rolling hate anymore.

But it didn't end. It only grew and grew until it was all he felt. Until the world was pain and fury, until he couldn't remember a time it wasn't. Until he couldn't remember his own name- the fire inside burned away everything he once was and shoved itself into the holes like a grown man forcing his foot into a child's shoe until the seams burst. And still it kept coming, an endless pouring of something so so big his mind could not contain it and shattered into so many pieces.

Only one thought of his own remained after the torrent: kill Corrin. Corrin is this pain. Kill him and it will stop.

His broken body shambled it's way towards the throne room, the force holding it together not able to truly mimic human movement anymore. Like a puppet he managed step by step fueled only by the hate that had replaced his very blood. He... it... passed Ryoma's cooling corpse without even pausing- it didn't know that man anymore.

There was only one name it still knew

But in the memory, seen from the outside, one other thing other then the roaring lust for blood can be heard. Buried deep under the force of the Thing from Outside- Takumi still wailed for release.

'Please, please just let me die-!'

He was, deep down, still aware.]

You were pretty angry, huh?

[A simple statement, an observation. Rin's not the best at saying moving words, so he goes for the simple stuff instead.

'Anger' probably isn't the best word to describe those feeling though. It looks like an all-consuming rage. A kind of rage Rin is familiar with, actually. So maybe that's why he's seeing this, because he can help Takumi in some way. That has to be it.]

[Takumi gives a small bark of laughter at that. The Takumi standing here now is... calmer, then the one in all three memories. Being dead had that effect: he had perspective he never had before.

But he remembers that feeling so brightly. He will never forget it]

Yeah, I guess that's a word for it.

That kinda anger, it really burns, doesn't it? Like a too-hot fire you can't put out, and it just burns outta control until you're standing there and everyone's scared of you again.

[Yep, definitely something he had experience with.

He's going to stand near Takumi now, though still a few steps off to give him space.]

But I guess that fire's gone out now, huh?

[Normally he would bristle at a stranger being even this close to him, but the memories have worn him out, and he can't bring himself to care]

I... don't know if it will ever really go out. The thing that was stoking them is gone though.

[He does have a sword with him and all. But after a moment, Rin does decide to clarify.]

It doesn't hurt people, only 'things like that thing'. I guess if I'd gotten here sooner I could've saved your world a lot of trouble. Sorry for that.
