[look, Sonico! you're going to be getting a phone call from an anonymous number; the voice that comes out of it is not Inaba's, but of a teenage male. she's not sorry about this]
Hello? Is anybody here? I wanted to see if anybody was picking up.
Ah, really? Then she did give me the right number! You see, I'm a huge fan of yours, Sonico-san! I've listened to a lot of your music and bought all of your magazines!
[ ... and almost immediately she has a very good idea of who might have done this and makes plans to have a talk with a certain someone as soon as she's done here.
she should probably make an excuse and hang up but... well, maybe she's projecting a little bit, but it must've taken a lot of courage to try this number, especially if they're a fan... ]
Ah, th--then I suppose you're lucky to have such good connections, right...? Um... I'd appreciate it if you kept the number to yourself, though.
It'd be a little weird to have a bunch of strangers calling...
[ ... okay she probably should also make a note of telling them not to call all that often but she can't really imagine whoever this is calling more than once. well, unless they start getting creepy at which point she can... well, do something, the Future Foundation must have some kind of gear for blocking anonymous creeps on your phone. ]
I'm... I'm not really sure if "cool" is the kind of word I'd use... b--but thank you, anyway...!
Um... is it okay if I ask your name? It feels a little awkward if you know mine but I don't know yours...
[ wow um she wasn't expecting to hear that. not... that it isn't nice to hear it, but she's a little surprised that anyone would consider her -- a model -- a hero.
... this is assuming that this boy doesn't know all about the whole murderschool and rebuilding kalos thing... ]
Um... Th--thank you, Uwa-san... it makes me happy to hear that! I--I'm not sure if I'm hero material though...
[ ... it probably says a lot both about the company she keeps and of lumiose in general that she's neither put off by this particular stranger's appearance or his question
she does tilt her head, though. ]
Ah... um... w--well, there's a lot of people wearing hats around the city right now, so...
[ readjusting her cute as hell sunhat as she says this, as if to illustrate. ]
welp guess who got "jerk of the day" award and is feeling pretty shitty about it. to be fair, he wasn't in a particularly good mood, either; tfw still in guns and sorcery ]
Awh, jeez -- ahm sorry, didn't mean it about you. Would it be better if I gave you a name...?
[ He was almost clueless as to why he had been dragged out to go shopping with this girl. Almost being the key word here. But it was completely harmless to do something like this, so it was completely fine to be dragged along for the ride. But... ]
So, Hatsune- [ Is that too formal? ] -san... what are you going to buy?
[ Shirou plans on buying food, but knowing her, it's probably something that's not food related. ]
WOW THANKS FOR NOT HITTING ME WITH A NOTIF DREAMWIDTH
[ you've been dragged out because a) you look big and tall and scary so hopefully they won't get bugged by idiots while she's trying to shop and b) you are her personal bag carrier for the day, Shirou.
she tosses her hair over her shoulder and gives a little huff. ]
Whatever I feel like. You do know how shopping works, don't you, Emiya-kun? Or are you the kind who makes a list whenever he goes out to the store?
[ He's not that tall, really. He's only 167cm, and he actually wishes to be taller. It kind of frustrates him, honestly. ]
Well, I kind of do. [ He shivers a little uncomfortably at the sound of his name spoken like that. ] I was planning to get some food at the supermarket, actually.
I'm serious. And it's not like there's an improper way to shop.
[ Don't patronize him. He doesn't really like that all that much; it makes him frown a little, knitting his brow as he folds his arms over his chest with just a little bit of frustration. ]
Well, I usually just get my clothes from Fuji-nee when I need extras... I don't buy clothes that often, since I don't really need them. [ All his clothes are pretty much the same, though. ]
You don't even buy your own clothes? How old are you again, Emiya-kun?
[ she gives a huge roll of her eyes before striding over to him and seizing his wrist. without even asking permission, she starts dragging him along with her, nose stuck in the air. ]
That's it. Our first stop is getting you something to wear that wasn't picked out for you by an old lady.
[ He doesn't have too much money to spend; he's frugal enough when it comes to things that aren't food... ]
Anyway, you shouldn't say that about Fuji-nee. She's not that old.
[ Okay, she's rather old, but that's just rude to someone who he considers as family, as an older sister, almost. Besides, he actually likes his jacket and plain white and navy blue long sleeved shirt. ]
[ Isn't it so weird to go on a blind date when the world's bordering on ending? Isn't it the strangest fucking thing you've ever heard of? To be honest, Henry couldn't think of a more opportune time. An occult writer, ex-cult member (or founder? does anyone even remember those days...), Henry wants to live his last few days or weeks or scrounging miserable years of survival with a smile on his face and cheer in his heart. He was sure the internet was going to go down soon anyway, probably for good! So he'd posted an ad out in the open on a social networking site for coffee and a chat. The response he got was peppered with emotes and sounded unhinged, so he gleefully accepted.
Imagine dying not from the riots, but because of a date gone wrong! That's a death Henry can live with, not boringly getting shot in the back while searching for medical supplies in some dirty pharmacy.
So he's wearing his best, all dressed up in a casual jacket, quietly journaling with an old-fashioned pen that looked like it'd seen better days, in a leather-bound book stamped with a skull and raven. Many pages in the book were phrased as last wills, final entries, and he was always so jovial looking over them, knowing he'd penned them with the anticipation of death in mind.
His last words in this journal's entry is 'I hope my date is sweet, whoever they are. And if they aren't, I hope they kill me with something other than a gun, because that's boring, isn't it? You don't even feel anything! Am I just being picky, diary? Should I lower my expectations? Beggars can't be choosers these days!'
When he hears the footsteps coming into the cafe, he looks up. There's a few bodies here and there, still seated in the booths with no one to clean them away. But, it was the least corpse-populated place Henry could think of for a date, so who cares? It was atmosphere.
He stood up with his usual winning plastic smile. ]
Kurehan, there's so much stuff you've gotta see here, did you know they have restaurants where they battle you in between giving you food? Oh, and there's this museum, Meri-Meri thought it was way more interesting than I did but it was kinda funny -- but anyway, it's so great to see you again!
Giffany
Might as well fire it up, WHAT'S THE WORST THAT COULD HAPPEN]
Sonico
Hello? Is anybody here? I wanted to see if anybody was picking up.
no subject
Um... h--hello? I... I think you might have a wrong number...
no subject
[not being creepy at all. probably.]

[ it occurs to her a bit belatedly that she should've asked who was on the other end before saying that, but. oh well. ]

no subject
[ still a little weirded out by this whole 'stranger having her number' business. ]
Wh--who exactly was it who gave you this number, by the way...?

Besides, it's not as if she talked about him while they were at that school, anyway. She should be okay. ]
no subject
[ ... for a given definition of 'nice' and 'meet' anyway
she also feels a bit like a creep with the whole talking to a second year highschooler thing but. she supposes it can't do any harm. ]
S--so um... are your friends fans of mine too?
[ translation; is she going to be getting more weird anonymous phonecalls from high schoolers ]
no subject
[and in regards to his second question]
And no, don't worry-- it's just me.
no subject
[ god this is so weird she hopes she's not betraying quite how weirded out by this she is ]
W--well, Uwa-san, since you called, was there something you wanted to talk about...?
no subject
Well... I was wondering if I could get your signature sometime!
no subject
[ except that would necessitate probably meeting this person and that feels all kinda of weird. ]
Is that all you wanted...? [ since he went to the trouble of calling her up and everything... ]
no subject
Mostly because I'm just-- you know, still kind of nervous to be talking to my hero, haha.
no subject

yolo gimme world is mine miku cause yes.

Isn't that your first clue that she shouldn't be shopping for you, anyway? How would she know what to pick out anything that'd actually suit you?
no subject
[ He frowns a little, sighing. ]
Besides, I just wear simple things since I don't really need anything fancy or expensive.
junko??? sob. how about a blind date in an AU DR universe

Ah, and you must be?
Kureha
[Haruka waves from the end of Lumiose Station. She, well, appears to have taken the ugly clothing ordinance seriously, but at least it all matches today?]
