Name: Project ReScencsion v. 1.1 | Champion Freerunner / The Fresh Start Age: 16? | Species: Enhanced Human | Occupation: Fugitive Likes: Heights, running, sweets, stars Dislikes: Schedules, needles, running, sterility Traits: Tenacious, cunning, awkward, fickle Trivia: She prefers to go by Echo.
[So how enclosed is the setting here? The tighter, more chromey and sparkling clean it is, the worse time she's going to have here. If we're on the archetypal Airlocked-style space station she's absolutely miserable, aside from the chances to stare out into space through conveniently large, clear windows. Even the prison option is (probably) better for her. The tropical island is the best possible timeline here, and if that's what we're rolling with she is absolutely treating it as an actual vacation as long as possible, which may actually extend past the first body discovery and trial.]
[Echo is- pretty darn useless during those investigations and trials, try as she might. She probably manages to annoy at least one culprit into confessing or slipping up, and her standoffish, aggressive nature almost certainly turns her into a red herring multiple times.]
[Early on she makes herself as scarce as possible, pilfering food at mealtimes and scuttling off to consume it in private, and probably stockpiling nonperishables in her room, though someone sneaky enough may manage to catch her silently weeping from happiness over anything fresh and naturally-grown. Any tech less modern than a computer is a source of frustration and bewilderment, and honestly even the computers that aren't actually sci-fi space-aged are treated as archaic.]
[Once she starts- warming up?- or at least getting more open with people- well. She's not actually going to leave freshly killed animals on your bed as a gift, but that's kind of the vibe.]
