Your character is a native to the SU-verse AND YOU ARE FREE TO GO AS WILD WITH THIS AS YOU LIKE. Seriously, Crystal Gem, Homeworld Gem, Corrupted Gem, boring ordinary human DO WHATEVER

[Neku is Charoite, with the Gem in the back of his neck.

Powers wise he has telekinesis and limited scanning (mostly being able to find other Gems or living things and read their very top level thoughts). He doesn't have a weapon as far as anyone can tell.

AUwise he's a Homeworld Gem, mostly based off his Week 1 behavior. He doesn't wanna be on Earth... but he gives even less shit about Homeworld. So just kinda halfasses his work and prefers to just be left alone, thanks.]

[Dream Quartz isn't a real runaway, not really--she was just following someone she cared about. Back home she was considered to be a promising Gem, even at her young age. She'd easily rise the ranks, they said. However....she'd grown up with Obsidian. While they didn't have concepts of real "family" back home, when he ran away to Earth to escape the oppressive Gems that wanted to have him slave away forever, she followed. Obviously, no one would come looking for a Gem that people thought were useless and a young Gem, right?

Wrong. So they had gone into hiding. Obsidian didn't want to go out and se the life forms, but Rhyme did. They couldn't survive just by sitting in a cave forever and fighting off those who came to get her. They should blend in. So Rhyme had already gone out into the world, trying to make friends with those out there.

It came to her in a dream that there was another Gem nearby, and he seemed....not harmless, but not out for blood. Maybe he could help. So she seeks him out, not trying to hide her Gem inserted in the back of her hand.]

Hi. What's your name?

[If he responded weirdly, then she would know she'd have to get away as fast as possible. Hopefully inducing sleep on him would work. She wasn't the offensive type.]

[He didn't have orders right now. For now they were supposed to scout, then report. But sensing the other Gem approaching put him on edge. Should he bolt? This technically was putting the mission in danger-

-and honestly he couldn't give two shits. If the missions was lost and the two rogue Gems (and he had been able to tell they were there the moment he came into town) fled, then maybe they could just go Home and he could forget this noisy backwater planet.

But he didn't want her attack him, or calling that bruiser she was traveling with either. So when she called out to him his gem glowed softly, hidden by his hair.

'I'm harmless. I'm safe. There's no need to be scared'

It was a subtle impression- not a command, just a simple thought he put out into the air for her mind to pick up. At least, that was the intent. Anything more forceful then that could alert a Gem much easier then these idiotic locals]

You know, you should give your name if you're gonna ask.

[She seemed to visibly relax. That was a normal answer, right? He's not looking for anyone. He's just standing around, and decided to visit Earth. Maybe he's a runaway too! As his impression is picked up, Rhyme gives a soft smile, letting down her guard.

So excuse her for a moment while she feels slightly flustered. How could have she ever thought he was a threat? He was safe, and so she could be open with him.]

Dream Quartz. I'm sorry....there's just been people looking for me lately and I thought you might've been one of them. Guess I was wrong, huh?

[He smirked, crossing his arms behind his head. She really was a kid- maybe only a few hundred years old. And her thoughts were so open he could pick them up even through his headset- just the basic idea, but enough.

A runaway too? He wished. But he... he owed Them too much. If he ran his headset wouldn't last long- and on this noisy world he'd be broken in a matter of weeks.

'Sorry kid... this isn't personal']

Heh, guess so. I'm Charolite.

[She nods, as if understanding something that she previously didn't. Maybe later she'd be able to bring him back and show him this Earth stuff. Pretty old looking, but neat all the same. However, Obsidian didn't like other Gems. Besides her, it seemed. For now she'd stay here, in case any other Gems showed up. The dream she had had fighting in it....]

You don't have a physical weapon. But you have telekinesis, right? That's what it looked like.

[Her eyes widen as he steps back, stepping to close the gap a bit, eyes full of concern. What, had he never met someone with future vision before?]

[Oh he had seen future vision before- but her having it could mean she could find out his intent any time. Or well, his possible intent. For now he didn't really care, but if he was outright ordered... well.

He fought to cover his concern quickly]

I-i guess that makes sense. Sorry, it's been awhile since I've seen other Gems.

....Ooookay then....

[That was weird. Really weird. Sure, he's harmless, but....was he telling the truth? Nobody has ever reacted like that before, even the ones that had been here longer than her....She should probably be more careful, she guesses. Even if he's safe and harmless, that doesn't mean he will always be, or even that he is friendly.

No....I don't know if I would have left there all on my own. I'd be too lonely.

[She doesn't want to mention his name, since he did some pretty bad things on Homeworld before he left. Not enough to really damage anything, but enough to cause some panic before he took her and left. She really wasn't dangerous, and neither was he. It was just the Homeworld that made him act like that. Here, Obsidian was nice, funny, protective...even if he didn't go out much, he cared for the humans.]

Why'd you leave? I mean, you don't seem like you'd do anything too bad...
