I bow to your expertise, Dave-kun. Oh, I also kiiiiiiiind of put mistletoe up, like, pretty much everywhere when no one was looking, so when Meri-Meri shows up, thank me. Okay, most of it's plastic because real plants are expensive, but.

[He fiddles with the box in his pocket again, not even aware he's doing it.]

I dunno, some people might! It's magnanimous charity to all. At least I think so. I might not actually know what that means. [She leans forward.] Are those keys? I thought you said you didn't get her a car.

What--uh--no, they're--it's nothing, I always got my hands in my pockets, it's my thing.

[mopocalypse]

Noooooooo you don't. You look like Silver-kun when he steals half the snack table.

[callbacks]

I've been a complete and total gentleman to the snack table.

Yeah, that's true, if you wanted to steal everything, you'd just stop time and stash it all back at the B&B. [sigh] Too bad, too bad. Dave-kun's secret will wait for another day, probably.

I don't have secrets, I'm an open book. This is a nothing. A not-secret. ...Don't tell anyone.

[mopocalypse]

...Okay. [Haruka stands up straight and smiles.] I know if you're keeping a secret, it can't be anything bad. We don't do that anymore, right? So that means it's something good, and that's fine!

[callbacks]

[Dave's face does a very definite Thing, mouth wobbling a bit like it doesn't know which expression to vaguely hint at first, and then he finally chews his lip on a touched smile.]

[Haruka briefly hugs her friend and loops an arm around his to tug him over to the snack table.] Now c'mon! You said you hadn't touched the food. Nobody here is allowed to starve!
