I don't think that's a bad thing, though. I've been told similar things, since I still believe in Santa Claus, myself.

A little bit of both. The meaning of a lotus in hanakotoba is 'far from the one he loves'. Purity. Chastity. It's a beautiful flower with such a pure meaning behind it.

[ Akane would know about things like purity, wouldn't she? It's kind of ironic, really. ]

Although I like the meaning of the four leaf clover more. While in hanakotoba, it represents luck... there's another meaning behind each of the leaves. Faith, trust, love, and luck. It's interesting how there can be so much meaning behind a single plant, don't you think?
