I think I'd like a Western one, like you. Lots of flowers, obviously. I don't think I'd want to have it inside, though. I'd like the ceremony to be outside on a nice, sunny day.

Maybe somewhere in the country?

That might be nice... and if we found somewhere really rural and traditional then once the wedding was over, we could spend some time in a ryokan together. For the honeymoon, you know?

That'd be nice. Just you two, away from it all. It'd be really romantic.

Wouldn't it? I don't think I'd want it to be somewhere too fancy... you know how there's bathhouses you can go to now with milk baths and all that sort of thing? I'd just like somewhere quiet and traditional where we could enjoy some time away from everything before going back home.

Yeah, see that's a good idea. There's no point in going any place fancy for a honey moon. I know some people go abroad or go to ritzy places but really? It's supposed to be just you and your new spouse. You don't need all that.

I suppose it's about the gesture, isn't it? Celebrating the start of your life together. Even if it's not something I'd want for myself, I can understand why people like to go all out for it. You're only going to have one honeymoon, after all. You might as well make the most of it.

Hopefully one honeymoon, anyway. I mean, I guess if you get old and renew your vows then having a 'second' one would be even greater, y'know? Then you can go all out, get away from the kids and family...
