that one thing we were planning like a week ago

[Rise was very upset. Poor Sonico probably caught more than her fair share of glaring from the petite idol when they were introduced. At first, because her Senpai was there with a gorgeous girl none of them had met! And then the looks turned... well, different. Less definitely hostile, but still very ????. A difficult mood to pin down. It all built up to Rise literally pulling Sonico aside after the conversation had moved on, and the whole team broke off into smaller groups.]

Sonico-san... we need to talk about... that.

[This is uncharacteristically intense and serious, but it's okay, that won't last long. She'll just... keep tugging Sonico along, and wait are they going outside? Well, they are if Sonico keeps following.]

[ honestly if Sonico tried to say she hadn't been expecting a reaction like this, she'd be a liar. because really, the whole story is a little... out there. they had to have known about the whole murderschool business, but she doubts very much that they'd expected adachi to come back from the thing alive and also dating someone.

so maybe she shouldn't be so surprised when Rise pulls her aside -- but she still finds herself stuttering nervously, tripping over her words (and her feet) as she's tugged away from the group ]

Ah-- um-- d--do we r--really need to head so far away from everyone, Kujikawa-san?

[Hey, it's not that far, but she definitely wants some alone time with her!]

I don't want Yosuke-senpai or Teddie to hear! They'll probably just say something stupid...

[Okay, you can't argue, that's pretty solid logic. Once they're outside and away from everyone else, she'll let go. And looks very uncertain whether to be upset or worried.]

It's just that... Adachi-san...

[Ugh. What should she actually say? Just... give her a second here.]

[ ... well, she can't really argue that but this still feels all kinds of awkward and she's really not sure of what to do with herself.

the mention of Adachi's name makes her flush a little bit -- she looks not quite shamed, but aware that she's probably being judged a little bit and disliking it. ]

Ah... r--right...

[ she's fidgeting with her now-free hands, looking all kinds of worried. she really shouldn't be so concerned about what this girl thinks, but... well, it's a little embarrassing to feel herself being judged for her choice in boyfriends like this. ]

I--is there something... um... b--bothering you?

[ oh my god of course there is sonico oh my god ]

Of course there is! It's... well...

[Okay, coming on a little too strong there, Rise. She doesn't want to scare the poor girl even more. She's just really concerned!]

You do know what he did, right?

[ ah. That already. Well she can't exactly blame Rise for asking but she does look a bit wrong footed. Then finally she gives w grim smile and nods. ]

... Yes.

I-- um-- I know everything. About Yamano-san and Konishi-san and... W--well. All of it.

... He's not forcing you to go along with this, is he? Like threatening to release photos and cause a scandal or something?

[Well, she doesn't really think that's the sort of thing Adachi could actually manage, but...]

Wh--what?! Of-- of course he isn't!

[ she feels her cheeks flush, more out of indignation than anything and her reply is maybe a little snappy but she doesn't bother to bite it back. ]

H--he wouldn't even have any photos to do that with-- or anyone to send them to-- a--and even if he did, he'd never do anything like that anyway!

[ she's... being a little defensive she knows but she can't help it. ]

Well, okay... I guess that's really not his thing.

[That dismissive tone... it doesn't mean she doesn't think he's capable of other things. Not at all.]

It's a big surprise, you know! You're really gorgeous, and way out of his league! I just don't get it...

[Suddenly, she's shifted from accusing him of blackmailing her, to simple declarations of how she can't believe someone like her could fall for such a dork. Progress?]

[ she's still stinging on adachi's behalf over the assumption that he'd do that to her -- so the sudden shift in gears throws her off and she feels a little wrong footed. there's a part of her that's still irritation and though she knows it's irrational -- and that this girl absolutely has the right to be suspicious of him -- but it's still very much present. ]

Ah, w--well... I d--don't really pay much attention to stuff like that. Most of the guys who do are, um...

[ a significant pause here as she searches for a word slightly less harsh than a bunch of assholes ]

Th--they're not exactly my type...

... And Adachi-san is?

[She's trying not to sound judgmental here, but... yeah. He's an asshole of a different flavor. That aside, though, she just wants to understand what's going on!]

W--well, yes, obviously...!

[ that maybe sounded a little bit defensive but she can't help it. it's a bit more complicated than Adachi just being 'her type' but she's certainly not going to say no, is she? ]

B--but it's more than just him being my type or not...!
