Alright...! Eheh, it's been a while since I went around the boutiques so there should be something new in...

[ and she does kind of need some new clothes everything is kind of too huge for her now she's already had the baby

stops... for a split second just to remember which direction to head in and then setting off. ]

Alright, then it's just this way...! I--it's so easy to get turned around, but it's on the outer avenue, s--so we should be okay...

That's right, this place is kinda shaped like a pokéball, isn't it?

[She looks over toward their destination, and notes the shape. They should really pass out city maps...]

I'm sure someone will know where to go if we get mixed up, it's fine.

Right, right...! It actually took us a while to realize, eheh. The first few weeks we were here, we got lost all the time... we kept having to call up Richard to come find us, if we couldn't find a taxi.

[ the part she's leaving out - how she still gets lost as hell sometimes lumiose is seriously like her personal hell with all these alleys and avenues jfc ]

Ah, h--have you been able to find your way around here okay?

Yeah, but I'm kind of used to the whole navigator thing. I had to learn the map of our city real quick when I started helping Phoenix!

[She waves it off with her hand, like it's no big deal.]

It's really nice. And people are always really good about giving you directions if you need 'em.

Eheh, you've got a better handle on it than me, probably... I've pretty much worked out how to get to all the places I'm used to going to but anything I haven't managed to memorize is kind of a disaster...

[ but it's Lumiose. She can't really be too upset when she gets a bit lost in such a pretty town.

She comes to a stop suddenly, reaching out and catching Maya's arm ]

Ah-- this way! [ pointing down an avenue they'd very nearly passed ] I saw one of the stores and I just realized whereabouts we are, ahah...

Oh-- okay!

[Maya leans into Sonico's hold, putting her hand on Sonico's arms like best friends walking through high school hallways. Her other hand catches the opposite side of Nanami's stroller so they can both push it while still walking like teenagers.]

I'm exciiiited! These things are soooo good.

They're the best, aren't they? Ah, and there's this tearoom that we found last week I think you'll really like -- they've got all different kinds of cakes and they sell some pies and tarts too, and it's so pretty inside!

[ she's going to gush about so many different places today and probably drag Maya to all of them. She's been saving all this up for her visit, okay. ]

Man, I love coming here. We always get to eat so much!

[Seriously there's a reason why Sonico is her favourite ever.]

I gotta write this stuff down!

Ah, maybe I should put together a list before you get here next time, so you know exactly what kind of food we're getting.

[ is she teasing or is she serious. who knows.

she pulls the stroller (and Maya) up to a stall at the side of the street -- there's a bit of a line, but Sonico doesn't seem put out in the slightest. ]

So! Was there anything else you were thinking of buying today -- apart from food?

Um! I kinda wanted to look at clothes, y'know? I dunno if I'll get anything, but everything here's so cute.

[There's not much a point, since she has to wear a uniform more often than not, but it's fun to look sometimes.]

Eheh, right, right? I was really surprised when we first started living here -- I knew their fashion was kind of French but I hadn't seen a lot of fashion like that back home. But everything's so cute...

[ still talking to Maya, she leans forward a little, hand in the stroller, apparently to intercept some fussing in the making before it could escalate too much. her voice softens and sweetens a bit and though she's still addressing Maya, it's clear her tone of voice is very much for Nanami's benefit. ]

It's a little more expensive than back in Japan, but it's worth it -- right?

Yeah, it is.

[She grins, watching Sonico and Nanami. They're SO CUTE, she's so glad to have a cute friend and her cute baby.]

I bet Nanami's pretty glad she gets to be in the cutest clothes ever, yeah?

[ she gives Maya a sidelong grin, evidently pleased that she's getting her to play along, before she turns her attention back to Nanami, fixing up the blankets around her and brushing a few loose strands of hair from her face ]

And when you're older, you'll be able to pick out even cuter clothes for yourself, right?

[ there's some giggling -- probably just from all the attention but either way, crying daughter successfully averted! ]
