THE FGO MEME
(aka the "I want to play in Fateverse but every time i try and keep the holy grail war rules straight in my head i just burst into tears" meme)

OPTIONS:

1. THE LAST MASTER OF CHALDEA!!!! listen, someone needs to be Gudako around here
2. Have your character summoned as a Heroic Spirit!!! You can either AU them as a specific mythological figure OR if you can fudge it, have your character themselves summoned as a Heroic Spirit! HOW EXCITING.
3. MAYBE A DEMI-SERVANT?? fgo isn't complete without kouhai

PROMPT IDEAS:

1. SLICE OF LIFE BULLSHIT IN CHALDEA. honestly keeping up with the chaldeans is a hit sitcom waiting to happen as it is.
2. SINGULARITY SHENANIGANS!! there's like, seven of them, go hog wild and have some adventures
3. oh i didn't think up enough to fill out this list. OH WELL.

THE LONG AND THE SHORT VERSION IS:

- Post a toplevel with the AU deets of your character and whatever you're hankering to play
- Tag around
- HAVE A GOOD TIME

[Normally, Moriarty left Lovecraft alone. The man clearly preferred his privacy, and if the accounts of his life when he was alive was anywhere near close to the truth, the hustle and bustle of Chaldea would be akin to hell itself.

So - he was able to respect that, and as well give a healthy amount of distance to him beyond an occasional silent nod of aknowledgement in the hallways. No need to be rude and force the man into doing something, after all - especially not with the fell knowledge he possessed.

But, well...sometimes, life forces you into positions you don't expect.

Like suddenly being whisked away to some sort singularity set on an island with....particularly odd geometry on it, though it all has a sense of...not insanity or unreality, but fiction. Like how Shinjuku had become, a long time ago.

Still, Lovecraft is the first Servant he's seen beyond unspeakable monsters from beyond the veil glowing colors unlike any seen on earth (roll for san damage) wyverns, so he noticibly perks up when he sees the man.]

Ah, Foreigner! I see you've been selected to take part in this as well, hm?

i'm totally okay with this!! CRIME PAPA

[Great.]

[Being a Servant, forced into things, forced to work - well, that isn't his cup of tea at all. To wake up here, despite the vague familiarity of the architecture and the ocean spread before him, is still nothing close to ideal.]

[Lovecraft doesn't want to be there, but he thinks that if he is, there has to be a purpose for it at least.]

[He wanders the island, avoiding the monsters as best as he can, and then runs into quite a familiar face. The Archer from Shinjuku himself. He wasn't one to make friends, even in Chaldea, but the man seemed polite enough. He could appreciate that, and so, instead of walking away, he nods at the man's question.]

Ah. Yes. I believe. [His sonorous voice, as deep as the Mariana Trench, sounds out into the air. He turns his gaze awkwardly to the ground.] Do you know what is happening...?
hatesdeerstalkers: (what)

HEHEHE I hope I'll live up to your expectations!!

[He blinks - he'd never actually once heard the man speak, personally. The deep voice was...surprising, and yet not at the same time. It was fitting - yes, but....hm. What bothered him about it...?

...Questions for later. For now -]

I believe this is a Singularity - one we've both been suddenly taken to, for whatever reason. You're the first person I've seen in this area for quite some time...Beyond fighting those -

[He pauses and does an...odd shudder? It's clear it's not intentional, just the average shudder you do when you meet something beyond the bounds of reality as you know it.]

Wy....verns....?

[.............

Oh, that's some san damage right there. A little help, HP?]

Not...wyverns.

[They look like wyverns, maybe, if you squint through five sunglasses and put in a glitch filter over them. To Lovecraft they are as they are. Creatures are creatures.]

You aren't made to...see them as they are. [But he, Foreigner that he is...well, its like seeing kin. Lovecraft sighs, walks up to Moriarty - with a shaking hand, he walks up to the other man and grasps his shoulder, turning him away from the...uh, wyvern.]

Don't look at them.

[He's turned Moriarty away even from himself, though maybe the man will be able to see what will happen next out of the corner of his eye - his sleeve bursting forth with tentacles, slamming down on the creature with force beyond belief. It expires, turning into ash.]

[His arm returns to normal. He glances at Moriarty.]

It will...do you no good if you...do.
