This is a meme-ified version of the Airlocked sequel/Round 6 AU cooked up by myself and Jess made available for everyone to goof around with. HAVE FUN, GANG TL;DR: we still have airlocked brainrot THE BASICS: This meme is for threads/plots/mingles/whatever set in an Airlocked-based AU as outlined above. You don't need to be Airlocked alumni to play here but some familiarity with the game's vibes and mechanics is useful! The game's setting is Tulipa Residency Station, a high class space station orbiting an unoccupied planet. It's basically a cross between a super fancy hotel and a super fancy cruise liner so feel free to make up fitting locations as you see fit. AND YES, YOU CAN HAVE ROOMMATES. Slap up a toplevel quickly outlining what's going on with your character in the tradition of murdergame memes gone by – you can also outline your character's role in the game, how long they last and maybe give ideas for progressive CR, memory reveals, that sort of thing! [the "boss" title makes him stand up straighter, chest slightly puffed. It was empowering, coming from an adult. Made him feel... competent. Skilled even. Respected. He lacked his dad's so called genius, was a subpar trainer, and he was an admittedly awful student. But he had this. He was good at this. Something he cared about.

Though calling Ai an adult tilted his brain a bit now. Of course, he knew she was. But the knowledge of her kids made age so forefront in his mind now. She was only a few years older than him. Was probably his age when she had her babies.

He wants to ask... but there's no way without it being weird. And she doesn't need to deal with his... family issues. Especially with Turo being here too.

Still, he can't remember if his dad ever looked at him like she looked at that photo. And he can't remember his mom period. So whatever she felt doesn't matter now.

It's something with rice but I think you'll like it anyways. Really soft and warm and sweet.

[ She gives him a little grin – a little bashful and a little proud all at once, but then the brightness dims and the sharpness of her smile is tempered by something a little softer, more tender. ]

I wonder if Aqua and Ruby would like it too.

[ That's the sort of thing she would have thought and kept to herself at some point... but now the cat's out of the bag, what point is there in pretending?

Besides. She'd had to keep them a distant secret for so long, even before coming here. Even just being able to say their names out loud and acknowledge that they're hers is an unimaginably precious gift. ]

[That makes his guts churn... not in a bad way exactly? But not in a good way either.]

Arroz con Leche is actually really good for babies and toddlers. It's creamy and easy on the digestion, and has lot B vitamins and potassium. Not too sugary either.

[He speaks in Paldean (which she might even recognize as slightly off kilter European Spanish) but the translator is quick to replace it as some kind of rice pudding]

[ She says it with a self-deprecating smile that just barely edges on being a little cheeky. She's playing up her ignorance a little to make the gap in their expertise really stand out - but she's doing it purposely and obviously enough that she's expecting him to pick up on it. You know, for the bit. ]

I had no idea you could make sweet tasting stuff that's so good for you, though.

[He absolutely notices, but is also clearly enjoying it]

You totally can! Nature makes everything we need after all- and a lot of it tastes good if you know what you're doing.

[ An impressed sounding: ] Hohhhh... [ then she nods to herself. ]

I guess if you know what you're doing, then it's just about putting all the right things together... jeez, you really make this stuff sound easy.

[ It's certainly gotten easier for Ai, with Arven's help, but it'll never be as effortless for her as it seems to be for him. ]

[ She starts busying herself with measuring that out – definitely less clumsily and more successfully than she would've done at the start of this endeavour. When she puts her mind to it, Ai's really not a bad student. ]

So if you were making it for more people, it'd be... an extra round of everything for every two people?

Right, especially if it's for kids. A bunch of adults you might go for... three fourths a cup each? One and a half for two.

Ugh, that's so many numbers... you know you'll have to write all this down so I can keep track of it, right? Otherwise I'm one hundred percent gonna forget.

She's quiet for a moment as she pours out the cloudy water and adds another round from the tap. Then: ]
