118th ♫ | asking myself over and over – "have i won? has a new me been reborn?"

Oh, you didn't agree to come here? You want to go home? There's a weird rule in your resident ID about murder? Well, I guess there is one teeny tiny catch... Welcome to the murdergame meme: Airlocked Gaiden edition! This is a meme-ified version of the Airlocked sequel/Round 6 AU cooked up by myself and Jess made available for everyone to goof around with. HAVE FUN, GANG TL;DR: we still have airlocked brainrot Downtime
2. Social Link Go! Well, if you're going to be stuck in here for however long, you might as well get to know the people stuck in here with you. You've got plenty of rooms to explore together and there's enough to do to keep you occupied. How do you plan on passing time without killing each other? 3. Vending Machine Woes Somewhere in this place there's a mysterious vending machine that spits out all manner of bizarre items and occasionally dispenses items that belong to you and the other people trapped here. You've got a fat stack of tokens and nothing to lose. 4. The Corners of My Mind So as it turns out, your lovely hosts have been fiddling with your memories. Maybe you're just discovering this now or maybe you've had a particularly upsetting memory regain you're dealing with. 4. Wildcard! GO WILD AND BE FREE (or as free as you can be here, anyways) PUTTING THE MURDER IN MURDER GAME
2. Murder WELL APPARENTLY, YES. Are you a killer or are you being killed? Either way, someone's not walking away from this alive. 3. Body Discovery Rise and shine, murdergame! It's a brand new day and someone's dead. Better get investigating! 4. Trial You know how this one goes. Line up all your evidence and sniff out the killer -- or sit there and sweat and hope no one works out you're the murderer. Will they go down with a confession or put up a fight? 5. Afterparty You've survived another trial, but more of your friends have died. Even without the executions, trials are a stressful enough affair. It's time to destress and lick your wounds and support each other. 6. Mastermind It's the end. It's time to uncover all the mysteries behind this murder game -- and find out just who trapped you here. Are they really an unconnected party, or is the mastermind someone among you...? 7. Freedom Just as it says -- you're finally free, but at what cost? Have those you love been returned to you, or are you still reduced to just those who made it to the end? Are you on your own, or is anyone here to help you? And more importantly, how the hell are you going to get home? |
Ai Hoshino ★ Oshi no Ko
Age: 20 | Species: Human | Occupation: Idol
Likes: Secret ❤
Dislikes: Secret ❤
Traits: Savvy, Scintillating, Shrewd
Trivia: The only food Ai doesn't like is white rice.
[ Impressions and permissions here! The dazzling lead singer of the pop group B-Komachi!! Not that it's going to do her any good here... then again, maybe an impromptu live from an idol who made it all the way to the dome will do something for everyone's morale!! An always smiling people pleaser, Ai proves to be a friendly, magnetic presence who'll go out of her way to connect with everyone and make sure their spirits are high. Isn't that what idols are for? Of course, as the weeks go back and things get increasingly dire, a slightly more calculated side of Ai will emerge – while she frequently plays the ditz (and uh, sometimes just is a ditz) it becomes clear that she's much sharper and more observant than she likes to let on. And that ever-effervescent smile might start to look a little calculated – or maybe a little desperate. After all, how come she's so secretive? Why does she never let the facade crack? She's just an idol, so what does she have to hide?
As memory regains and regular regains come in, small cracks will gradually form in Ai's armor and a different side of her will emerge at times – kind and lonely and wanting to connect with other people but being so unsure of how to handle or understand their feelings that her struggles come off as aloofness. She tends to skip out on afterparties because she's not good at comforting folks and dedicates herself instead to setting up memorials and helping out with other post-trial tasks. She puts on improvised live shows to keep everyone's spirits up and does everything she can to keep herself alive and in everyone's good books.
The reason for this eventually comes out during a a 'darkest secrets' motive – Ai will confess to the group that she's so determined to return home alive because, despite being an idol, she has two children to return to – her twins, Ruby and Aqua, born when Ai was just sixteen. Having been abandoned by her own mother when she wasn't much older than the twins, she's determined to make her way back to them and continue raising them with all the love she never got.
... or so she says. Characters who get particularly strong CR with her (we're talking Kill And Die For You levels of murdergame ship/found family) will eventually find out that Ai's actual darkest secret is that she is dead back home, having been murdered in front of her own children by an obsessed fan. She has no idea how she's still alive but being granted this miracle of a second chance, she wants nothing more than to reclaim her future and return home to her family where she belongs. ]

Yasu, unfortunately, was one of the many stricken by a crush, and so Haruka managed to sneak into the worryingly murder-adept girl's blindspot. She now sits dejectedly by Ai's table as she absentmindedly pets the silver fox kit who always follows her around (currently radiating an inexplicable aura of incredible smugitude), staring blankly at a slice of pizza through her bangs. ]

Memory Regain Day
He confessed that his sister had murdered him, too. Ages ago, apparently. And that still might not have been the most worrying thing he said.
"If I'm fucked when I get out of here anyway, I might as well last here as long as I can."
For all that, though, Brook's made appearances throughout the weekend. He's been a little more brittle, perhaps (more fragile?), but it doesn't keep him from wandering around or feeding coins into the vending machine in hopes it'll drop his phone. He doesn't sleep, so he's often one of the first ones "up" to keep tabs on the early risers or tag along when exploring new areas.
It's odd, then, that on Sunday, Brook is nowhere to be found.]

Dimitri... oddly enough has become a bit more stable over the weeks, thanks to the support of the others. His madness is still strong, but certain recently returned memories haunt him.
Memories like his final fate.
But he's not worried about that. It was only proper, what happened to him. It's someone else he's worried about. He storms through the back office halls, a vanilla folder nearly bent in half in his gloved hand. Something he found in one of the previously locked rooms.
He found a lot of things there, about his new friends, but this specific one lingers. He has to find Ai. And when he does:]
Is it true?!

Brook | I’m the Grim Reaper
Age: 118-ish? | Species: Reaper | Occupation: Reaper
Likes: Direction, blogging, cutesy rabbit accessories
Dislikes: Big emotions, messing up
Traits: Standoffish, dispassionate, this
Trivia: Brook once tore off his own arm to avoid losing a game of tag.
[Oh boy, it's an edgy, loner teenager... with a pink rabbit theme? Is this gap moe? How does the headband stay on? Why isn't he wearing shoes?
Aesthetic choices aside, Brook isn't actually too hard to get along with. While he isn't friendly, he doesn't go out of his way to make enemies. He doesn't go out of his way for much at all, really. One might think he perhaps keeps to himself to avoid presenting an easy target--he's, like, 5'1" and looks like he's made of paper--except he doesn't seem to believe anyone could take him. Power nerfing is going to throw him for a loop fr.
Still, he appears to take the whole situation as a kind of mild inconvenience, and the idea of murder doesn't noticeably bother him; when he asks for clarification about the rules, he's surprised to hear they only have to kill one person, not one person a day. Once that’s cleared up, Brook doesn’t seem inclined to participate in any of the murdergame trappings. He doesn’t care that much about getting back to his world, and it’s not (he thinks) like he has anyone to get back to.
Despite his disinterest, he proves himself willing to chip in most times he’s asked for help, whether it be for the benefit of the group or a selfish request.
Before memory regains kick in, he seems confused about the X markings on his left side and the trivia in his profile. As memory regains trickle in, however, he starts to get anxious. Looks like Brook has more at stake here than he thought.]

So, the R1 mood.
All this to say that Annu already wasn't feeling like getting up, but she drags herself out to the cafeteria in the morning anyway, not even changing out of the Champion jumpsuit. She nods at Brook.]

Mori Annu | OC
Age: 15 | Species: Human | Occupation: Student
Likes: Her siblings, dark magic, painting, the poorly guarded restricted section of the school library
Dislikes: Her siblings, bullies, stuffy rich people, weapons class
Traits: Devious, wrathful, protective, loyal
Trivia: Annu's teacher kind of wants to train her as an assassin.
[Annu immediately drops the cover story of her and her siblings being shipped off to study painting in France once it becomes clear that everyone here is from other worlds anyway. She often just kind of lurks around the station and gathers information, and when things get heated, she's in there cornering anyone who looks like they've hurt her friends.
Sorry not sorry about the heavy dark magic tomes in her regains. Be glad you didn't get her sister's fanfic instead.]
Trial
Maybe Annu jinxed it. Maybe she shouldn't have said anything. Because Tuesday's motive offered a return to a specific moment anywhere on the winner's pre-murdergame timeline, with the possibility of preserving their life or changing it. Now Terezi Pyrope, Champion Rulez Lawyer, is dead, throat cut on patrol despite her own efforts to bring everyone together last night for a fruity rumpus.
And notably stand-offish Brook doesn't have an alibi.]

Arven | Pokemon Scarlet/Violet
Age: 16 | Species: Human | Occupation: Student
Likes: Cooking, Cute things, Mabosstiff
Dislikes: His parents, bossy people, being overlooked
Traits: Devoted, prickly, awkward, emotional
Trivia: Arven is the son of a famous Pokemon professor!
[Arven might seem a little standoffish at first, clearly not super trusting of a bunch of strangers and rather rude to start with. But over time he certainly warms up to those that are kind to him- but anyone that antagonizes him might find him hard to win back around.
He can be easily excitable and when the deaths start he ... doesn't take it well, at all. Still he does his best to be helpful, and even if he doesn't have much in the way of forensic skill, he IS a good researcher though and has an eye for detail. So he might cling to any investigative types to learn if they show him any approval what-so-ever. He also will try to look out for any younger kids with a very big brother air. In fact he's probably a central part of whatever Teen Squad forms.
As people get close to him it's clear he has had a rough childhood. Practically abandoned by his famous parents to raise himself, supported by money and emails but almost no physical presence in over a year and barely anything more than that for long before. Does the pokemon world even have CPS? Must not cuz he will sure talk about how wild pokemon his parent was researching almost killed him once and how his dog- who was his only supervision, was crippled protecting him.
It's fine, probably]

Turo | Pokemon Violet
Age: 43 | Species: Human | Occupation: Professor
Likes: The future, progress, science, Miraidon
Dislikes: Disloyalty, interference, his ex
Traits: Dedicated, awkward, controlling, paranoid
Trivia: Turo was a part of the research team that established the Zero Lab in Paldea's Great Crater and discovered the Terastal phenomenon!
[True to the "awkward" part of his profile, Turo's a bit of an odd duck! Especially at first, he doesn't seem to quite know how to engage with others.
But he's even-tempered and polite, seeming focused from the very beginning in making sure everyone can work together in an effort to eventually escape. Any aggression shown towards him seems to roll right off his back. Indeed, he's not a very emotional person at all; maybe a little bit withdrawn, and not someone who speaks overmuch about himself.
When the deaths start, he seems a bit shaken but never breaks down, to the point where it might come off rather cold. His occasional propensity for probably-accidental insensitivity doesn't help. But in trials, he's a thorough and skilled investigator despite lacking any actual forensic training. His close eye to detail and excellent memory tend to pay off, as well as his willingness to collate information and proceed based on the results: he doesn't mean to offend, but it is, after all, for the good of everyone.
In spite of his generally helpful attitude, he's a little aloof. He seems interested in others, often showing up to question them about their lives and activities, but rarely contributes his own stories to such conversations. The most he'll ever talk about is his time spent in the Area Zero crater, where he was evidently living and working alone for over a year, save for the company of an unusual Pokemon. The most contact he had with the outside world was through emails or the occasional video call, which he speaks about with some fondness. He will acknowledge that he and his son are not close and haven't spoken recently, but says that he still cares for him. He does seem sad about something there, at least.
What was he working on down there for all that time? He doesn't seem to want to talk about that hardly at all.]
afterparty
Stay calm. Don't be disturbed. If you break in a place like this, you won't make it out. Right?
She looks up as Turo walks in, and she bows politely before sitting down.]

Stella ⭐ Spiritfarer
Age: ??? | Species: Human | Occupation: Spiritfarer
Likes: Traveling, helping others, family, friends
Dislikes: Bad food, bad moods, dad jokes
Traits: Bright, helpful, goodhearted
Trivia: Stella will always lend a hand to anyone who needs it.
[Another young woman trapped in this nightmare scenario! Whether she's a teenager or somewhere into her young adulthood, it's difficult to say on an initial glance. Regardless, there's a smattering of youthful freckles on her face, and a brightness in her eyes that shows a love for life in the best ways. Surprising for someone who readily admits that she's a Spiritfarer: someone who ferries the dead to their final rest - though it can be much nicer and more relaxing than it sounds!!
Never without her star-shaped hat, Stella makes the most of her time here in the station. Despite their situation - or perhaps because of it - she's emboldened to provide for the other survivors. Making heaps of delicious food in the kitchen, tending to a small garden she starts to cultivate when they get an "outside" space for surviving another week. Perhaps, most importantly, she offers to stay at the side of each culprit once they've been caught. No matter what they've done, Stella remains absolute in standing at their side when the time comes - if they permit it. Nobody should be alone.
Even now, she remains bright and chipper as can be. But it's tempered. Dig into her enough and you'll find someone who is just trying to keep going, and make sure that everyone has as much help as she can provide until it's too late.
Because nothing last forever. Not even Stella.]

Echo Darkglass | OC
Age: Yes | Species: Human (Enhanced) | Occupation: Fugutive, Deck Hand
Likes: Green, heights, running, sweets, stars
Dislikes: Sterility, needles, schedules, running
Traits: Tenacious, cunning, awkward | Trivia: She prefers to go by Echo.
[Ahaha, this is fine, everything's fine, she's just gonna fuck off into the vents for a few days.]
[Yeah she absolutely tries to rip Dr. Maruki's face off day one, and probably gets injured trying to rip off her PIP.]
[But once it becomes clear that the plans for them to kill each other are moderately more subtle than literal cage matches to the death, Echo will at least stop actively avoiding the other Champions, but it still tends to be like approaching a feral cat until the memory regains start rolling in.]
[And slightly longer before she actually responds to her own name naturally, rather than as an afterthought.]
[If there's a greenhouse area to be unlocked, once it is that's her home as much as the rules allow.]
post-trial, pre-afterparty
But in that trial, when suspicion easily turned on Echo -- after all, she was so suspicious and never so much as interacted with anyone, clearly she's plotting something -- Annu had said it was too easy, too convenient. And it wasn't long until the person who had tried to blame Echo had suspicion turned on them and cracked.
As they step off the teleporter and all start to separate, awkward and terrified and shocked at their first trial and execution, Annu keeps her composure. She does flit her gaze over to Echo before she can make a run for it.]
That could have been a disaster.

Vincent Charbonneau | Dead Plate
Age: 28 | Species: Human | Occupation: Chef, Business Owner
Likes: Unknown
Dislikes: Unknown
Traits: Bitter, sour, cold
Trivia: After graduating school, Vincent opened his own bistro, La Gueule de Saturne. It's named after a famous painting.
[Vince is one of the more... normal... people here. No super powers. No world saving. Not famous in the way an idol or actor would be- well known in his circles but far from celebrity. Just a normal man from normal late 60's Paris. His Likes/Dislikes being blank is a little weird, but the traits are exposed pretty quickly. He's not an easy man to get along with. He's kinda mean in a very detached way, giving the feeling of looking down on others. Except when he becomes genuinely heated... then he's foul mouthed and honestly kind of scary. Maybe even. Violent. There's an intensity in his gaze that is far from comfortable. Even so, there are flashes of warmth there. Of softness. It's rare, but it's there. Especially around the more earnest types.
Funnily enough, even though he's a legit professional chef, he rarely cooks. Definitely never after trials. When asked the common response is that he's not your mother. Comfort feed your damn self.
Still... if you do manage to get to taste his food there's... something about it. it's not bad- he's a professional, after all. He's very good at what he does. Yet there's something vaguely... bitter about it. And in turn he rarely eats much at all either. Enough to not be hungry, but he never seems to actually enjoy anything anyone gives him. Not even a little. Instead of the kitchen he lingers around places like sitting rooms, bars or libraries. He can often be found scribbling nearly illegible notes, or outside smoking like a car engine.
During trials he's surprisingly helpful, not through any investigative skill, but purely because he so no nonsense. Cat-herding and beating others back on track often falls to him. Thankfully the gore and trauma never seems to bother him too much either.
And during motives he's shockingly possessive of any notes or pictures Maruki gives them. No, he will not share what his are. To the point he very well might have hit someone for pushing too hard. Don't try it.]
(( spoiler whited-out cws here that might come up with Vince in more serious threads: murder, cannibalism, dismemberment, stalking, physical abuse such as slapping/hitting or threatening harm, obsessive romantic attachment. Just let me know in toppers if you want to avoid anything too Intense in threads!))

Compiling notes again? I wouldn't blame you, everyone is trying to get out of this place somehow.

Vanity vonAegis | OC | voicetesting
Age: Yes | Species: Human (Enhanced) | Occupation: AegisCorp CEO
Likes: Sweets, efficiency, pop rock, putt-putt, Healthy Competition
Dislikes: Wastefulness, disorder, pollen, her sisters, cinnamon
Traits: Diligent, competitive, affable
Trivia: Vanity is the youngest company head in AegisCorp’s history.
[Kidnapping into a mutual killing game, did you mean free vacation? But really, Vanity is entirely too blase about the kidnapping and death aspect of everything, at least at the beginning of it all. Her main concern seems to be how her subordinates will run the company in her absence. Her low-key cheerfulness is probably grating for more than a few people given the situation; a rich teenage girl who seems a little too disconnected from the reality of the situation, and maybe in general.]
[So maybe it’s a little surprising that she’s very active in taking inventories, organizing meetings and group activities, and generally doing work to keep things from falling into utter chaos on day one. She makes a point of talking to everyone at least once a day, taking stock and making sure that there are at least no obvious cracks.]
[Once the murders start, this absolutely extends to taking an active hand in all the afterparties.]
[It doesn’t take a lot to guess that keeping busy is her way of dealing with All This. If nothing else, it seems to be working, maybe a little too well, with how dispassionate she starts getting in some of the trials.]
[That’s probably fine.]

Leshy | Cult of the Lamb | voicetest
Age: Approx. 3,000 years | Species: Bushy Worm Thing? | Occupation: Cultist (Formerly cult leader)
Likes: Camilla flowers, most of his siblings, digging
Dislikes: Lambs, The Red Crown, Not having eyes
Traits: Prideful, Grouchy, Chaotic
Trivia: Leshy was the youngest Bishop ruling the lands of the Old Faith... Which meant he had dominion over chaos itself.
[ ... That trivia would explain why a "Bishop" had woken up as a four foot tall bush creature that can't even see. Assuming memloss is in effect, we have a Leshy who is very upset about suddenly losing his crown and being dumped here without his god powers or sight... Whatever! The facility is small enough for him to memorize the layout. The thing stuck to his wrist speaks to him! He'll just put up with it until he recovers his crown and lays waste to the fools who trapped him here!
Alas, the longer he's put through these trials, the more he remembers... And the more he remembers, the more he realizes how dire his personal situation is... Only his closest CR will learn more, assuming anyone has put up with his stubbornness and unpredictability long enough.
In the meantime, he's not that fazed by the murders. Sacrifice was part and parcel in his world, and though he's blind his other senses are incredibly sharp. Only issue is he finds the whole trial process to be annoying. Has definitely made some enemies by asking why we can't just sacrifice someone and get it over with.
Other than that, he will be most active in organizing meetings and getting info from the host if possible. Or he could be a menace. Possibly eat your space plants if a garden opens up, nbd. ]
((I haven't set up his permissions page yet, but this boy comes with CONTENT WARNINGS: Cults, eye trauma, possible discussion of body horror and genocide. Cult of the Lamb is a dark game. If you have any questions, feel free to hit me up at
Scanlan Shorthalt | Legend of Vox Machina/Critical Role | Voicetesting
Age: 69 | Species: Gnome | Occupation: Entertainer
Likes: Praise, music, romance, sex
Dislikes: Goblins, danger, disappointing others, responsibility
Traits: Dramatic, creative, recklessly verbose
Trivia: He can turn into a triceratops.
[He is here to have an absolutely terrible time. As the deaths roll in and things get bad, he's working overtime giving dramatic speeches and corny jokes to try keeping spirits up, delivering eulogies after trials, coming up with increasingly screwball plans to get everyone off the station. And keeping it entirely to himself how increasingly certain he is that everyone, and himself especially, are going to die horribly, probably because of his personal failures as a person at a critical moment.]
[Has a particular soft spot for any kids, definitely handles those cases the worst.]
[Also, regrettably, the archetypal horny bard for any adults that catch his eye. We're so sorry.]
[Almost certainly snaps and does some kind of kill several weeks in, and tries playing the 'secretly a heartless cad all along' card when he's caught out.]
[Definitely has Curtains Virus, have fun with the musical numbers.]
