(Slightly Adjusted) Shameless Shipping Meme
There's nothing wrong with wanting to play out some cute, fluffy interaction. So break out the butterflies in the stomach, the hand holding, the love confessions, the NOTICE ME SENPAIS, and all the adorableness you can stomach - no matter if if fits your character perfectly or not. It's all about characters getting comfortable with each other while being total goobers and showing love.
It's shameless, sure, but it's fun!

Well, she's Reina, for better or for worse. To those who don't know her, she's quiet and cool at best, and a complete enigma at worst; she's a girl who's about as individualistic as they come, and who, in her own words, doesn't waste time associating with people who don't interest her. So it might be a bit of a surprise, to some, that she's taken such a liking to Honoka...after all, one would think that Reina, with her cold front and blunt personality, would clash with someone so bubbly and overbearingly extroverted.
But there's something about Honoka that lingers with Reina; a certain quality that she has that makes it difficult to say no to her. The way she ignores boundaries, her complete lack of self-restraint, her natural leadership, her aggressive optimism...these are all qualities that Reina has come to admire, quirks that make Honoka stand out above the rest and distinguish her from her peers. Reina's goal is to become special, a step above the rest, but as far as she's concerned, Honoka is already truly unique, in her own way.
...And if nothing else, the way Honoka scarfs down her sandwich as the two of them sit under the trees is proof that at least something about her is one-of-a-kind. Seriously, there's probably more on her face than in her tummy-- ]
Honoka. We're not in a rush, you don't have to eat like it's your last meal.
[ Whether she likes it or not, Reina's going in with the handkerchief. Try and stop her, see what happens. ]

She stops eating long enough for Reina to dab at her face and makes a show of pouting while she does so. She's not a little kid! But she knows better than to try and dodge the hankerchief or, god forbid, actually try stopping Reina. ]
I'm starving, though! [ at least she has the good grace to swallow her mouthful of sandwich before she answers. ] And it's all so good! I can't make myself eat something this tasty slowly!

[ Even if she's not a child, that's all the more reason to not make a mess. Reina wouldn't have to mom her if she didn't give her the opportunity to. ]

[ If she gets like this when she's hungry, God only knows what she's like when she's at home, considering her parents run a bakery, for goodness sake... ]

[ Unbelievable.
Thankfully, she does have some self control when it comes to the bakery though that's mostly because of just how much she hates red bean paste. It says a lot about how much she likes Reina that she actually willingly brought some sweets that have it in today. ]
I'll quit making a mess though, I promise! [ she doesn't look even a little bit chastised -- she's grinning all over her face. shameless.
But then she flutters her eyelashes, putting on her most downtrodden puppy dog eyed expression. ] You won't go and ditch me just 'cause I'm a messy eater though, right Reina-chan?

Don't make promises you can't keep, Honoka...
[ Though, that expression of hers afterward..even Reina, with all of her supposed stoicism, can't resist turning just a bit red in the face, to the point where she has to turn away. Those eyes make her weak just by looking at them, somehow.
It's troublesome. But she isn't very troubled by it, not really. ]

[ She won't give her the satisfaction of hearing it from her, but, of course, she would never. ]

I think Reina-chan's gone aaaaall red! [ she even gives her cheek a little poke. rude, Honoka. ] Seriously, look at you! A hundred percent blushified!
[ It's totally a word. ]

[ But she does, and she did. The closer Honoka gets, the more Reina shrinks into herself, about ready to bury her face in her knees. Her face is even warm when Honoka prods it; despite appearances, she's pretty bad at hiding this sort of thing, and worse at playing it off. ]
It'll take more than that to charm the likes of me.

[ She draws the word out as sing-song as she can and huddles up even closer to Reina with a big grin on her face. Maybe it's a little mean to pick on Reina when she's all red-faced and hiding it so badly... but honestly, that just makes Honoka want to tease her more. Reina's cute! Especially when she's trying and failing to hide when Honoka gets the best of her. ]
But, but! Let's say you're not! What sorta stuff would it take to charm you, huh? I wanna know, I wanna know!

[ From over her legs, she can't help but peek out at Honoka; her face still looks like a tomato, but she's doing her best to sound stern, like an upperclassman talking down to a freshman. She knows better than to think that'll work on Honoka, since it never ever does, but it's worth a shot regardless.
The question makes Reina go quiet for a little bit, but, she sheepishly answers... ]
...You'd have to hold my hand, for starters.
[ And ever so slightly, she moves her hand from around her huddled knees, stretching it out just enough so Honoka can clasp it. ]

She barely lets Reina finish her sentence before she takes hold of her hand, squeezing it but not too tight. She looks nothing short of triumphant. ]
There! How's that for a first step? Is it working? Are you getting all charmed?

[ Honoka's hand in hers lets her recover nicely. Her face is still red, but she's not hiding anymore, and now that she's got Honoka's hand in her's, the situation's changed, just a bit.
With a gentle tug, she pulls Honoka in to close the distance between them. It wasn't very much of a gap to shrink, of course, with how close Honoka likes to get to her anyway, but now they're huddled together, their faces a breath's width apart. ]
Now you have to whisper something romantic to me.

[ She sobers up just a bit though, humming in consideration. If Reina wants romance, she'll pile on a craptop of romance! She just has to be sincere about it. She furrows her brow a bit as she gazes at Reina's face. And then suddenly she's all grins again. ]
