Oh, of course I meant it! I have been desperate to hold your hand like this for the past week now.

[He pauses, staring at his hand.

Before he places a gentle kiss on the back of Obi's hand.]

[Just YANKS THE SHEET UP OVER HIS ENTIRE FACE. Critical hit! The move was super effective! Man, he almost wishes they didn't replace all that blood he lost, because he can feel it all rushing into his cheeks like he's some kind of blushing maiden.

Since he absolutely refuses to lower the sheet, he can only voice his laughing complaint through it.]

S-since when were you so suave?!

[Jonathan laughs in return, a light, adoring laugh.]

Since I learned that my feelings towards you were mutual, of course. It would be improper to give such displays of affection if I thought you only saw me as a friend.

[He gently smooths his thumb across the back of Obi's hand.]

Words simply cannot describe how much I adore you, after all. It is only appropriate that I show through my actions.

[Obi's hand tightens slightly around Jonathan's, a gentle test--is it really okay to have this? To take the affectionate contact he wants on his own initiative?

He peeks over the edge of the bedsheet, still keeping the rest of his heated face covered for a moment. Then he lowers it down to his chin and brings Jonathan's hand a little closer.]

[Jonathan instinctively squeezes his hand in return, smiling fondly at Obi. He lets himself move a little closer to Obi's face as he brings him closer.]

[By way of response, Obi reaches across himself with his other hand, touches Jonathan's cheek, and guides him down for the softest, shyest little kiss.

His grin afterward isn't so shy, though.]

[Jonathan is frozen at the kiss, hardly believing that Obi just did that, and so publicly too!

His face flushes a deep red as he looks behind him, seeing if anyone else saw that.

He gently moves to place his own hand on Obi's cheek. He doesn't close the gap again yet, but he wants to feel close to him.]

I... must admit it has been awhile since I have done anything like this so openly.

[His face is warm under Jonathan's hand. Even if he feels he's reclaimed some of the initiative here with that kiss, even though he gets his voice and expression back to normal, tenderness like this is still new for Obi.]

Well, I've never done any of this "openly." Always kind of been more of the sneaking around in the shadows, stealing moments here and there behind the trees experience for me.
