    The Murder Game Meme

You know the script. You wake up in a place you've never seen before, with a whole bunch of complete strangers and there's a mysterious voice or a mascot or what have you ready to let you know how things are going to work around here.

The rules are simple: You're trapped here, with no hope of release or rescue. You've been provided with all the basic necessities you need to live comfortably, and all you have to do is settle down and live out the rest of your days here in peace. But if you can't do that -- if you're really so desperate to escape that you'll do anything -- then there's one teeny tiny thing you have to do first.

All you have to do is kill somebody.

But it's not quite that simple. Every death will be followed by a period of investigation, followed by a trial in which the survivors will attempt to solve the mystery and out the culprit. If the survivors guess correctly and out the culprit, the killer is executed and life goes on. But if the survivors guess wrong, then the culprit is free as a bird and everyone else is executed.

Even with the promise of freedom, can you really bring yourself to kill so many other people?

THE IC INTERVIEW MEME

A variant of the IC questions / IC anon meme! Characters are set up to be interviewed (how?? why?? don't worry about it) and must endure being assailed by questions!

HOW DOES THIS WORK?

#1: Post a top level with your character's name, canon, etc

#2: Tag around (either using anon posting or sock accounts, I'm not fussy) to other characters as interviewers asking questions! You can use this list of questions that was going around plurk or come up with your own, do whatever you like!!!

#3: OPTIONAL BONUS CONTENT: If you want your character to get grilled but they're the type to be dodgy about questions, there can be an optional truth compulsion effect in play where their tongue might be a little looser than usual... just indicate in your toplevel if you want to play around with it!

#4: HAVE FUN I GUESS I NEVER HAVE ENOUGH POINTS TO FILL THESE LISTS OUT

Romance Prompts

HOW TO PLAY
  • Comment with your character and preferences.
  • Comment to others.
  • THAT'S IT YOU'RE PLAYING.

PROMPTS

  1. School Romance: Oh, I hope senpai notices me...or the cute class president, or the head of cooking club, or -
  2. Childhood Crush: You've known each other for a long time, but one of you had to leave when you were kids. Now you're back together, and the dynamic is totally different. This also often involves a "childhood marriage proposal," where the naive party promises marriage and the other takes it seriously.
  3. Love Note: The note you left the object of your affection might be a bit passive, but you can't confess face to face!
  4. You're Like Family to Me: The two of you have been close forever, so you've never seen each other like that...until now.
  5. Tsundere: G-geez, idiot, it's not like I like you or anything! I was just worried...worried, okay? Don't make me slap you!
  6. Kuudere/Ice Queen (King): I have no interest in things like "love" or "romance." They are the least important things in this world.
  7. Yandere: You don't like me anymore? How...? Oh, that's alright. I'll make you LiKe Me.
  8. Unlucky Friend: You lost the person of your dreams to someone else, perhaps because of their allure or perhaps because you never spoke up. What can you do now?
  9. Red String of Fate: That person? You know you're totally meant for them! So what if you've never talked? You have the red string of fate!
  10. I'll Cheer You On: Always supportive, always by your side, they're the person you can count on. Why do they care so much, though?
  11. Harem: One guy. Lots of girls. Craziness ensues.
  12. Reverse Harem: One girl. Lots of guys. Craziness ensues.
  13. Head Patting: Apparently a great way to show you care, both for dogs and for humans.
  14. Indirect Kiss: Your lips touched that. Their lips touched that. OH MY GOD IT'S LIKE YOU KISSED.
  15. Slap-Slap-Kiss: I could kill you for what you just did! I could - I could KISS YOU.
  16. Confession in the Heat of the Moment: You're about to go defeat the ultimate baddie. How about confessing your feelings to the person you love? Seems legit.
  17. Food for Thought: I made you lunch. Want to share?
  18. Repaying a Debt: You broke a vase, ruined somebody's priceless something-or-another, and now you have to be their servant until you pay it off!
  19. I'll Be Your Dog: Or you don't owe that person anything, you just wait on them hand and foot and hope they'll appreciate you one day.
  20. The Kind of ____ You Like: You want to change yourself to the type that the object of your desire wants.
  21. One-Sided Love: Sadly, still a trope here. As always, a heart will be broken. But maybe, just maybe, the love isn't unrequited. Maybe the other person isn't aware!
  22. Jerk/Sweetheart: The pairing of a stoic jackass and a manic pixie dream.
  23. Misunderstood Delinquent: You're not what you seem. You just want to give flowers to that cute girl, not run her over with your motorcycle!
  24. Fight for You: I won't lose the hand of my girl/guy to the likes of you!
  25. Sudden Kiss: Kiss from nowhere! There are lots of reasons for this: to stop someone from crying, to make them be quiet, or just to explain yourself when words can't.
  26. Kiss on the Forehead: It's a sweet way to say "I love you."
  27. Physical Difference: Usually size difference - and then, it's usually big guy/tiny girl, though big girl/tiny guy is explored as well - though this is present in a lot of different ways.
  28. Class Difference: You live in a culture that is still greatly stratified by class, whether it be wealth or power structures.
  29. Oh, My Goddess!: Uh-oh, you accidentally summoned an angel/demon/alien/god/goddess. And now they're bound to you forever! But at least you can stay just friends...or something like that.
  30. Teach Me To Become Human: A robot, an alien, a god, a demon, or anything beyond our human knowledge wants to know more about our emotions - from you and your love.
  31. Single-Gender School: For all the yaoi and yuri fans out there, don your uniforms and remember that Maria is watching.
  32. The Silent Protector: In love with his/her charge, but never able to act on it.
  33. The Perfect Waifu/Husbando: They are so graceful, so lovely, so kind, you've really lucked out!
  34. To Make My Beloved Happy: You will do anything for the person you love, even if that means not being with them.
  35. WILDCARD

You or your meme partner has been hurt, but don't worry! This time around it's not that bad. You can still limp your way out of this mess.

    INJURIES

    1. Sprain/strain. How did you screw up walking?

    2. Broken bones. Simple fractures still hurt.

    3. Cuts. Hopefully one of you has a sewing kit.

    4. Burns. Location, location, location. Let's pray this one isn't on your ass.

    5. Concussion. No, they're most likely not holding up fifteen fingers.

    6. Other. I'm not a doctor.

    HOW'D IT HAPPEN

    1. Stupidity. You did this to yourself.

    2. Accident. Is an unintentional attack still an attack?

    3. Attack. Don't lie, you deserved it.

    4. Other. It's probably still your own fault.

    WHERE'D IT HAPPEN

    1. Home. Did you remember to invest in a first aid kit?

    2. School/Work. This should be excellent for getting you out of doing stuff!

    3. Outdoors. Predators like the smell of blood. Clean up asap.

    4. In the water. Hopefully there aren't any sharks!

    5. Other. Like a hospital. That'd be handy.

    THE MURDERGAME SHIPPING MEME V1.2

So, you've been put into a murder mystery game where you're going to have to fight for your life! Every week another body or two, surrounded by strangers- Wait, you knew that? You actually kind of have your bearings? Well fine, here's a different problem - see that person over there? Yeah, that one. Wouldn't it be a really terrible idea if you fell in love with them right now?

This is a meme for that sometimes most fun of bad choices in murdergames: shipping. Leave a toplevel with info that might be in your character's profile (recommended, so everyone knows what your character is About), maybe a murdergame title (optional but encouraged), and any extra info you want to give along with whatever your shipping prefs are, then either pick from the prompts below or wing it and go tag around! Profile code and some prefs options below, if you want a format to follow. Remember - unexpected murdergame ships are the best kind! Don't be afraid to tag out and across canons!

SETTINGS (note: absolutely not an exhaustive list)
    1. Shopping Mall - Live your teen movie romance dreams! Sure, someone seems to get mcfucking murdered in the Starbucks every week, but that doesn't mean you can't go on a coffee date, right?
    2. School - Live the... other party of your teen movie romance dreams! It's a little hard to be romantic when the only place for a dinner date is the cafeteria, but in fairness you are also constantly overcoming bigger problems than that here.
    3. Generic Facility - Looking for romance? Try scenic Sealed-Off Building Full of Rooms! It's themed in some way - science, underwater - but the concept is the same. Surely there's some kind of bar or inexplicable amusement park in here you could use for a romantic evening, right?
    4. Spooky Mansion - You know what they say about going on dates to scary movies, right? What if the scary movie was uh. The whole thing. The whole place. Where you live. And die, sometimes.
    5. Romance Zone - I mean hey, maybe you're stuck somewhere literally built for both romance and murder! Pleasure and pain. Life and death. Smoochin' and stabbin'.
    6. Musical Theater - Sing a love song! Whether you're playing from a specific musical or not, live your romantic duet dreams!
    7. Other - If you can block off an area, you can put a murdergame there. Get creative!

    PROMPTS (ship scenarios)
    1. Confession (Fun) - Ah, the start of any good murdergame relationship. Maybe you've been dancing around each other for a week or two, maybe over the course of one thread and a lot of screaming your players decided you're gonna kiss. Time to figure out what these feelings mean while you're, you know. Here. Can be combined with some of the other prompts too, if you like.
    2. Dating??? - Where do you even go to date in a murdergame? Is it even worth trying to hang onto this kind of normalcy when either of you could die any day now? It's probably fine.
2b. Dating+ - Can be combined with any other prompt, but somehow, some way, one of you is taking the lead in this date and getting a bunch of emotions in... because you're deathflagging. You're deathflagging hard.
    3. Afterparty - Hey, that was a rough trial! Whatever it was! But you're both alive, so... better try to comfort each other, huh? Enjoy whatever kind of snacks you guys have available.
    4. Confession (Unfun) - Oops, uh. One of you... seems to have confessed to murder. Better get whatever last moments in that you can before voting ends and one of you gets brutally executed!
    5. The Couple That Kills Together - Okay, so maybe you did or didn't actually kill someone together. But at least one of you did a murder, and the body hasn't been properly discovered yet, so... time to talk this through? Make bad choices for love?
    6. Deadland Romance - Maybe you've just reunited in the land of the dead, or maybe this is where you're trying to get your relationship off the ground. Either way, there's gotta be some weird emotions to "we're dead and trying to make it work."
    7. Golden End Reunion - Great news! You beat up the mastermind (or befriended them, I don't know your style) and got all of the dead people back, including the other half of your ship! That's gotta feel good, seeing them again after however many weeks.
    8. What now? - The game is over, it's time to go home. But... which home? If you split up, is there going to be a chance to visit each other again? Can you work that kind of long-distance?
    9. Smut Option - Look. It's not generally onscreen, but hookups happen. Did you have to kick roommates out? Is this the fabled... you know, variant of option 5? Basically look, if you wanna use this meme for smut I'm not gonna say no, just tag appropriately.
    10. Anything else! - Look, one of the fun things about murdergame ships is how many ways they can go in the emotional crucible inherent to them. I can't account for a lot of things ahead of the basics, so plot with your thread partner and have fun with it! Hell, maybe bring a good ol' murdergame polyblob into the mix, I'm not gonna stop you! Go with ur heart, assume other characters, live your truth!

    35. WILDCARD

    The All-Purpose JamJar Meme

For that authentic Jamjar experience without the pesky commitment. Roll or pick from a setting and a prompt below! Drum up some assumed CR with strangers! Jamjar settings are officially the best when you want to do a cross-canon tag-out but just can't be assed to think of a way to fit your character in another one's canon.

    I - SETTING

    • 1. Horror: Your characters are taken from their own worlds and thrown into a terrifying situation! Things are creepy, resources are scarce, and ensuring your own survival is paramount.
    • 2. Sex Game: For whatever contrived and nonsensical reason, your characters are forced into a world where they gotta bone. Aside from smutstuff, you have the opportunity to play out how very awkward it is to navigate these agreements and encounters before and after. Lasting bonds can form from something you didn't expect! But so can eternal regret.
    • 3. Slice of Life: Characters are forced to live together in familial units. They have an opportunity here -- in spite of being stuck -- to relax and slow down and do some fun, ordinary things. Picnics, dates, school, etc.
    • 4. Fantasy: Characters are forced into guilds and roles, given weapons and are made to utilize their powers in coordinated units to complete missions.
    • 5. Scifi: Characters are thrust on to the frontier of spacial colonization! Characters on a spaceship! Characters being drafted into an Imperial Earth Army to fight/conquer foreign entities! Characters being in a world where they are assessed, identified, tracked and policed by artificial intelligence! And so on!
    • 6. Reincarnation/ New Identity: Your character has been reborn at this game, or given a new identity. Work out their karma or help them come to terms with having to live a new life.
    • 7. Asylum/Prison/Institutionalized Identity: Characters are locked up and put under heavy surveillance. Slowly they are institutionalized and disintegrated from ordinary social rules of engagement. They could be told that they've been identified as mentally dysfunctional, or they could be in prison! Are they pleading their innocence, or do they know they're guilty as fuck back in their world?
    • 8. Assignment-Based/Mercenary/Survival: Characters have to put their skills to good use as drafted mercenaries. Help your captors assassinate, spy, sabotage, infiltrate, steal, and terrorize for points that will lead up to your freedom or the freedom of others.
    • 9. Your Choice!: Do whatever!

    II - SITUATION

    • 1. First Impressions: You never forget your first impression of someone. Unless it was entirely forgettable.
    • 2. Oh Hey Again: I kind of know you!!!! Hi!!! I hate this place but love familiarity hi!!!
    • 3. Event: SOMETHING IS HAPPENING and your characters have either run into each other or sought each other out to stick together during it!
    • 4. Living Quarters: Surprise, your characters are in the same house! Or room! Or building! Either way you have to share space and facilities with this person. Enjoy!
    • 5. Mystery: Who Did It? Why Are We Here? Characters are disappearing, people are dying, whatever is happening it is FISHY!
    • 6. Canon Update/Respawn/"But we know each other, I swear!": One character comes (back) to a game and does not remember previous CR. A relationship or friend or even hateship is forgotten. How will this be dealt with?
    • 7. Begrudgingly Working Together: You are so fucking annoying but I guess we have to fight Monster of the Day Together/Get Unstuck-UnLost Together/Find Our Way Back/Help Each Other Out.
    • 8. Is This a Date: Gee, you guys sure are doing a lot of things that people on dates do and you're having a lot of fun [sweats]...
    • 9. Violence: Characters beat the shit out of each other or help each other out of a gory situation with terrible traumatic injuries or something!
    • 10. One-Sided(?) Crush: How do you get their attention? Or, alternatively, how do you ignore that this person obviously is crushing on you and it's totally awkward
    • 11. Protecting/Saving: Your character's chance to be a hero or a damsel!
    • 12. Network Post: Mandatory bs.
    • 13. Inbox: Hey, can I talk to you for a second? In private?
    • 14. Your Choice!: Do whatever!

Even with the promise of freedom, can you really bring yourself to kill so many other people?

tl;dr: it's a murdergame meme. TIME TO HAVE A BIG OL' MURDERGAME BLAST.

      Settings
        1. High School A classic! Doesn't matter if you're too old or too young to be in high school -- you've been enrolled and the only way for you to graduate is to kill a fellow student. But hey, the faculties are nice!
        2. Tropical Island Weren't you just hankering for a nice tropical vacation? No? Too bad! You're going to have a nice sunny vacation at the beach and if you don't like it, just kill someone and go home. Simple!
        3. Prison It doesn't matter if you don't remember committing any crime; you've been tried and found guilty of something or other and now you can go ahead and rot away in jail. If you ever want to see the sunlight again, better put that criminal mind to good use and get rid of your inmates.
        4. Mall A huge mall stuffed full of stores, places to eat and all the regular amenities like deadbolted doors and the threat of death. It's like Black Friday but even worse because you can't leave and all the rest of the shoppers might actually kill you for real this time.
        5. City Holy shit, you've got the run of a whole city this time around! Maybe with all this room to keep out of each other's way, you'll be able to make sure no one starts killing people. But probably not.
        6. Cruise Boat YOU'RE ON A BOAT, MOTHERFUCKER. The accommodation is all five star, even if there's no one around to act as wait staff. The only snag is that you still have this whole murder thing hanging over your head – but on the plus side, they have those little drinks with the umbrellas in, so...
        7. Space Station THE FINAL FRONTIER... Maybe you're familiar with space stations like this or maybe all this future tech is fascinating to you. Not like it matters either way, of course, because you won't be getting out of here unless you lay down a murder on someone.
        8. Wildcard! None of the above scratch your murder itch? Go wild and come up with your own setting!

      Downtime
        1. Excuse Me, Who Are You? You've just woken up in this weird place and you have no idea what's going on. But hey -- maybe this stranger's more informed than you. Or maybe you can put your heads together and investigate what's going on.
        2. Social Link Go! Well, if you're going to be stuck in here for however long, you might as well get to know the people stuck in here with you. You've got plenty of rooms to explore together and there's enough to do to keep you occupied. How do you plan on passing time without killing each other?
        3. Vending Machine Woes Somewhere in this place there's a mysterious vending machine that spits out all manner of bizarre items and occasionally dispenses items that belong to you and the other people trapped here. You've got a fat stack of tokens and nothing to lose.
        4. The Corners of My Mind So as it turns out, your lovely hosts have been fiddling with your memories. Maybe you're just discovering this now or maybe you've had a particularly upsetting memory regain you're dealing with.
        4. Wildcard! GO WILD AND BE FREE (or as free as you can be here, anyways)

PUTTING THE MURDER IN MURDER GAME
        1. Motive Your mysterious overseer has decided there's not nearly enough murder going on and so they've ~helpfully~ given you a little push to do the deed. Maybe one of your loved ones is in danger, maybe they're offering more money than you could ever dream of or they're threatening to reveal your deepest darkest secrets. Whatever is it, would you kill for it?
        2. Murder WELL APPARENTLY, YES. Are you a killer or are you being killed? Either way, someone's not walking away from this alive.
        3. Body Discovery Rise and shine, murdergame! It's a brand new day and someone's dead. Better get investigating!
        4. Trial You know how this one goes. Line up all your evidence and sniff out the killer -- or sit there and sweat and hope no one works out you're the murderer. Will they go down with a confession or put up a fight?
        5. Afterparty You've survived another trial, but more of your friends have died. Even without the executions, trials are a stressful enough affair. It's time to destress and lick your wounds and support each other.
        6. Mastermind It's the end. It's time to uncover all the mysteries behind this murder game -- and find out just who trapped you here. Are they really an unconnected party, or is the mastermind someone among you...?
        7. Freedom Just as it says -- you're finally free, but at what cost? Have those you love been returned to you, or are you still reduced to just those who made it to the end? Are you on your own, or is anyone here to help you? And more importantly, how the hell are you going to get home?
        8. Wildcard YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO

      OPTIONAL FUN
Lots of murdergames have in-universe public profiles for other characters to get the skinny on yours. If you'd like to fill one out to post with your toplevel, peep at the code below!

    November 11th: international pocky day.

Pocky is a simple Japanese snack comprised of a thin biscuit stick coated in flavoured icing, from your generic chocolate and strawberry, to your more sophisticated green tea, cookies and cream, and even amber whiskey. If you can conceive it, chances are there's a pocky, or pocky knockoff, box out there for you.
    • The pocky game is a similarly simple concept: two players, one pocky stick. Whoever bites their end of the pocky stick to the middle without pulling away is the winner -- even if doing so means getting a little up close and personal.
    • There are no losers when it comes to pocky. Usually.
    • Post your preferences and have fun!

    THE EXPLORATION MEME

Let's face it: We all have the urge to do a little exploration every now and then, right? Of course, in real life, we often don't have the option of going anywhere really interesting. Thank God for RP, right?

Okay, so standard set of rules:

    1. Post your character/canon. Feel free to pre-set up your scenario if you want, or let someone else RNG it for you.
    2. Respond to other posts. Roll two RNG rolls, one for the setting, one for the scenario. (Or don't, that's fine too.)
    3. Get exploring! Who knows where you'll end up?
    4. Oh, right, have fun. That's kind of an important one.

The Grooms: The fighters. Gain more power and skill from possessing their true bride and bonding with them. Can steal brides from other grooms. Will eventually go berserk without their bride and will do most anything to protect them.

The Brides: The power sources and the healers. Provide support for their grooms. Are typically submissive (not always sexually, however) to their grooms, can be rebellious. Are in charge of calming their groom down and taking care of them, as grooms can often be headstrong and not mindful of their own needs. Physical intimacy with them creates weaponry which comes from their body.

One part strength through sex, one part soulmates meme, one part sentinel/guides meme, add some fighting couples and a whole lot of (prettily packaged) mindfuck.

Revolutionizing the World: The main goal of the existence of all brides and grooms. Seems to be creating a new world especially for the successful bride and groom pair, but its true nature is uncertain.

The Council of the Rose: Mysterious controllers of the whole dueling system. Dedicated to bringing revolution.

    Duels: Fights between bride/groom pairs.

      Duels (the long of it)

Come one, come all, see our most beautiful of shadow plays!

We have such a story for you today. What a tale, what a legend! Listen, listen, listen if you please.

There's strength in numbers, they say (do they say?). In this world, that's good advice, but in the world you find yourself in now (which you've been all your life, oh, you're sure to realize), it's reality! For once upon a time, long ago, there were many brave warriors in the universe, spread all over. Each and every one was mighty and glorious, just as one would expect of handsome and wonderful warrior-princes and princesses. But the powers that be, the ones that control the tick-tock-tick-tock whirling hands of the planets’ gears, they grew jealous and wrathful towards the warriors. To secure their own positions, those cruel ones ripped each and every fighter into two halves: the source and the arm with which to wield that source’s power. One is useless without the other, you see.

Tells us more, you must tell us more!

More, you say? These two halves of each soul lives on, to this very day, that much is known. Of course, not everyone is reborn from those shattered fragments; some are very boring and very normal humans and creatures. But not you, my sweet listeners. For you are special, you're the players of this game where you must duel others in order to keep your place in this world. The Council of the Rose, the mysterious tinkers who make sure the chase goes on, will always find you and always tell you of your true destiny. All roads lead to the same place, the same battlefield. You are these shards living on, remaining in the forms of the brides and the grooms.

A wedding! There will be a wedding.

Be quiet. Before the wedding, there must be an engagement. That only makes sense! And we have to introduce the cast, don't we? The grooms first, then. Don't let the name fool you. Grooms can be male or female - it's the modern day, we're egalitarians! They're the warrior spirits, the muscle that swings the sword. So strong~! So brave! But that can be a bit of a problem. It's true! Without a proper bride to keep them in check, like any husband, a groom can go off the rails. All that energy with nowhere to focus it can't be good. The same thing may happen when their bride is threatened. It's of the upmost imperative for them to protect what is theirs!

When a groom meets a bride who may be their intended, they feel an indescribable longing and a need to possess them as their own, maybe even losing their own sanity the longer they stay away. Could anything be more terrible? Besides, without a bride, they can never reach their true potential. So it's not right that cold, unfeeling grooms treat their brides only as a tool or a means to an end. They should treat them like equals, like lovers, or maybe even better than themselves.

So it's essential not to underestimate the brides, again, male or female, even if they are usually submissive to their grooms (but not always in life and certainly not in the privacy of the bedroom, you know)! They're the weapon that the groom draws and the reason they can get stronger and more skilled. Not only that, but a bride can calm the ever-present turmoil inside a groom like no one else in the world can, serving as a grounding and healing force. They always, always, always support their groom and take care of them. In fact, without them, the groom will feel very unsettled, because most grooms can easily forget the importance of taking care of oneself! If a bride is rebellious and doesn't want to be one - how sad - there's nothing much that can be done...though the bride will begin to secretly feel unfulfilled until they act more kind. That's how a true romance should be, isn't it?

For each groom, there's only one bride. For each bride, though, there can be more than one groom.

What? What does that mean? Isn't that a betrayal of true love?

It is a tragedy! And all a rival groom has to do is defeat the other in combat and the bride goes to victor. That's why a bride and groom have to be perfectly in sync with each other and prepared for any challenge. They must know each others' bodies like they do their own and know exactly where the strength comes from. A kiss, full of passion, is how the groom can draw their weapon from their bride. That weapon takes a form that depends on their relationship.

      Engagement

Never take anything less than a big diamond ring! It has to be that!

...well, that's true, but the engagements here, that's the first part of the contract to be together as is meant to be. The two must come together first with their bodies! How crude, we hear you cry. No, that's not the case at all. It may seem scandalous, yet sex between the bride and groom - it's only natural, and it's all right since there's no greater love than what comes from that bond. Romaaantique! The engagement is only the beginning, the trial period. There is much more physical contact to have, especially if you want to move up in the world. More and more sex (even if that does make it sound classless) just makes the connection between the bride and groom stronger, which makes the groom able to use more of the bride's energy and become stronger themselves. Then, if the sex is...shh, kinkier and more public, it can make the weapons you can summon that much more creative. So any self-respecting person should give it their all. We believe in you!

As for the wedding? Ah, that's the final key. That's a sensual ceremony and spell, you see! It forever binds the bride and groom together, making it impossible for other grooms to steal them away. Before you commit, though, it's always important to make sure you two are perfectly in step. If brides and grooms do not find their right companion, the curtains must fall. A bad match will mean that one of you could die in a duel, and without your partner, you cannot live on. You can never revolutionize this world and create your own.

...huh? What does "revolutionizing the world" mean? A good play doesn't reveal all its secrets. You'll have to find out the moral yourself!

      How to Play
    • Comment with your character, preferences, and whether your character will serve as a bride or a groom.
    • Remember, most characters could be played as either, so don't be too unwilling to bend. We want plenty of play potential here!
    • If your character is a groom, be sure to describe what their weapon is like. Have fun with it!
    • Comment to others.

      Prompts

    1. Discovery: You've just found out your status as bride or groom from the Council of the Rose. How do you respond?

    2. First Sight: Oh, who is that? Whoever it is, your heart is already racing and your instincts are kicking in.

    3. Engagement: It's a trial period for your bride/groom pairing, and you must get into sync.

    4. Marriage: You've decided that this is the forever relationship you want and are prepared for the ceremony.

    5. Unhealthy: In this relationship, the bride is viewed by the groom as their property. The bride themself may or may not have the self-esteem to match.

    6. Adoration: Unlike the unhealthy relationship, in this bond, the groom puts the bride above all else and quite nearly worships them.

    7. Save: You want to take away a bride because you care for them and their groom isn't treating them well. That's noble...but is it such a good idea?

    8. Reverse: The groom is the submissive here, wrapped around the bride's finger.

    9. Housewife: A bride must take care of their groom's needs, especially when they forget to take care of themselves.

    10. Fluff: There are actually fun, loving moments between the well-adjusted bride and groom, even in the most volatile of scenarios.

    11. Calm: It's a rare time of peace where the bride and groom can be almost domestic.

    12. Heal: Injuries and mental hurts need to be taken care of in the same way power is gained, simultaneously strengthening the bond.

    13. Assigned: The pairing of you and your bride or groom was not natural. You were picked strategically for each other.

    14. Power Up: You have to become stronger. Luckily, you can get power right from the tap.

    15. Need: You're desperate for your bride or groom, and your body and mind are rebelling against you because of it.

    16. Training: A bride and groom must work as one, and this ability to practically read the other's thoughts must start in the bedroom.

    17. Return: You two have been kept apart and are finally able to return to each others' presence.

    18. Buck the Saddle: A rebellious bride must be evened out or the process will never work.

    19. Step Up: You've actually been "promoted," so to speak, from bride to groom, though the origin of this change is unknown.

    20. Mismatched: You've fallen in love with a bride when you're a bride or a groom when you're a groom.

    21. Not in Step: You're a terrible pairing. The two of you together makes no sense at all, but you must make it work.

    22. Transformation: To duel, you have to have suitable apparel. You might have your own way of getting into those clothes. At the very least, your entrance should be impressive.
    23. Childhood: From the very beginning of your life, you have been brought up as the perfect bride or groom.

    24. Jealous: The person you really want isn't your bride or groom.

    25. Possession: After seeing the wandering eyes of your bride or groom, you feel the need to remind them that it's you and them against the world.

    26. Affair: You've decided to take your jealousy to the next level and go outside your engagement. You must be warned, physical intimacy outside of the intent to create a bride/groom pair is strictly frowned on.

    27. In Want of a Blade: The two of you are working on what weapon your bond will make. Remember, the more kinky the sex, the more unique and powerful the weapon.

    28. Before the Battle: A duel is imminent, and last-minute power recharges must be made.

    29. Comfort: The events of the day didn't go as planned, and one of you needs reassuring.

    30. Service: Related to the comforting scene above, yet here, someone - usually a bride - feels more obligated to sexually service their partner. Needless to say, this is less warm and fuzzy than the desire or need to comfort.

    31. Berserker: Your bride has been threatened. You must destroy anyone who could have harmed them. Can you be brought back from the brink.

    32. Unexpected: A bride protecting a groom? Unheard of!

    33. Double Trouble: At least one of you in your pair is sadistic and looks for other bride and groom duos to torment, both physically and sexually, even if they don't want to duel. The other party is willing or at the very least unable to be noncompliant.

    34. Kindness: You're a caring partnership that takes other brides and grooms under your wing.

    35. To Your Tastes: A good bride can know what a groom wants even before the groom does, including new sexual activities and kinks.

    36. The Sword is Mightier: It's time to draw your weapon. Physical intimacy is the way to unholster it.

    37. Need a Boost: Right in the middle of a duel, the groom's strength is fading. Even if it means having sex in front of an audience, this must be rectified no matter what.

    38. Victor: The duel ended in your favor. That's worthy of celebration.

    39. To Be Left Alone: Your bride or groom is leaving you. It is your duty to convince them to stay.

    40. Defeat: The battle didn't go your way. Your bride or groom has been slain in front of your eyes; if you're a bride, perhaps it was to get at you. Your humiliation is cinched by your being claimed.

    41. Groom vs. Grooms: Occasionally, grooms will choose to fight each other. There is only one way to completely defeat your opponent without your bride and thoroughly make them grovel.

    42. Forced to Become a Bride: In continuation of the above, some grooms have found ways to turn their competitors into brides themselves. After forcing them into their new role, an engagement is imminent.

    43. Betrayal: In a twist of fate, the one you as a groom should trust most, your bride, has been working against you this entire time.

    44. Off the Grid: The two of you don't want to fight others, you just want to live together in peace as normal lovers. Of course, that's easier in theory than in practice.

    45. Revolutionize: You've come out on top; no other couple could defeat you in battle. Now that you've broken the egg's shell, what will your new world together be like?
